Initially undertook a student engineering apprenticeship with British Rail in an electrical engineering environment, during which time he obtained his primary engineering qualifications and diversified his field of knowledge, subsequently acquiring 28 continuous years in the Marine Industry, starting at sea as a junior engineer and progressing to Chief Engineer with a large British shipping company.

Subsequent years have placed him in senior positions, amassing experience and expertise, in the Marine Industry, encompassing the areas of Ship Operations, Ship Management, Development of Operating Procedures, Company Instruction Manual, Safety Procedure, Implementation of Procedures on board ships and continuous Auditing to ISM standards. Appointed by Cypriot Government to carry out Administration surveys.
