JOANNE BARTON GILLESPIE
As a qualified English solicitor, she practiced for six years with two of the major maritime law firms in London . During that period she spent six months seconded to a ship operator based in Connecticut . After moving to the U.S. late 1998, she joined Thomas Miller's Miami office. There she worked as a marine claims adjuster until March 2003. She coordinated the investigation, litigation and adjusting of a variety of third party claims, including substantial collision, pollution, cargo damage and personal injury cases with particular emphasis on Floridian, Caribbean, Central and South American-based claims.
